Ashiatsu
Barefoot Massage Therapy is covered under Registered Massage Therapy
Ashiatsu means “foot pressure” in Japanese. A fusion of several traditional forms of barefoot massage adapted to North American standards. Ashiatsu is a type of massage therapy in which the practitioner uses their feet to perform treatments. Strokes are compressive, broad, consistent and flowing; giving the sensation of being massaged by very large hands. Using their feet enables the therapist to deliver varying therapeutic levels of pressure, leaving tissues feeling invigorated, yet deeply relaxed. Excellent for deep tissue work.
Reiki
First Degree Reiki is covered under Registered Massage Therapy
Hands on Energy healing, originating in Japan. "Rei" means Universal and "Ki" means energy.
Reiki activates the natural healing processes of the body, to help restore physical and emotional well-being.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping Therapy is covered under Registered Massage Therapy
The ancient therapy of cupping uses cups to lift the tissue with applied suction. This helps with pain, inflammation, circulation and stress relief. Cupping has applications for many common conditions, such a relief of muscle tension in the shoulders and back. It combines effectively with a massage therapy appointment or it can be a separate treatment.
